MTB Ride Levels
*occur late spring through the fall (usually June-October) as long as trails are clear
Mountain bikes must be proper, trail-ready mountain bikes, no hybrid bikes please.
Intro Level = you're still learning your MTB, want to try riding more singletrack, fitness may or may not be great, but these short rides are for learning your bike handling in a supportive environment
Social Rides = we stop often on these rides, welcome all skill levels with good basic bike handling, need to have at least a minor base amount of aerobic endurance, everyone waits on everyone, a chance to meet others who are at your ability level, a chance to socialize and do something fun, relaxed mindset, chill vibe, no agenda other than to ride with others, those with strict agenda mindsets are discouraged from joining social rides- there are plenty of other groups and rides out there!
Intermediate Rides = you have a strong base endurance, don’t have to stop on most climbs, and can ride easier technical sections with ease, some stopping will occur to chat a little, but expect much less stopping than on social rides
Advanced Rides = more like a training ride and meant for people who have substantial fitness and can ride most technical sections with ease, usually only one or two stops/breaks on these rides
Road Bike Ride Levels
*occur all year long
During the snowy months when the trails are covered, most rides are on road bikes and on the road. We are, after all, fitness enthusiasts, so we ride year round when it is possible. All road bikes must be proper road bikes with drop bars, no hybrid bikes, please.
Social Rides = we stop often on these rides, welcome all fitness levels but need to have at least a minor base amount of aerobic endurance, you have good bike handling, everyone waits on everyone, a chance to meet others who are at your ability level, a chance to socialize and get in a workout, relaxed mindset, chill vibe, no agenda other than to ride with others, those with strict agenda mindsets are discouraged from joining social rides- there are plenty of other groups and rides out there!
Intermediate Rides = you have a strong base endurance, don’t have to stop on climbs, some stopping will occur to chat a little, but expect less stopping than on social rides
Advanced Rides = more like a training ride and meant for people who have substantial fitness and can ride at a strong pace on flats, hills we can spread out a little more, usually only a few quick stops/breaks on these rides
